Brazen PR brings home three new trophies at the PRCA Dare Awards
We’re not called Brazen PR for nothing, and last week’s PRCA Dare Awards proved this big-thinking Manchester PR agency knows how to live up to its name!
On a brilliant night of celebration for PR Agencies in the North West, we took home not one, not two but three of the industry’s most prestigious PR Awards.
First off, our intergalactic adventures for Wilko landed us one of the most hotly-contested awards of the night…Best Stunt. This star-struck stunt saw us rocketing a Blox toy spaceman into outer-space to make Christmas dreams come true for one young Wilko fan, putting Brazen lightyears ahead of the award’s other finalists.
Reacting to the win, Brazen Board Director Sasha Marks commented: “We love pushing the boundaries and stepping outside of our comfort zone to create big, bold and brave stunts that create real disruption and huge results for clients, so we’re over the moon to have won this award. The team worked incredibly hard to make such an out-of-this-world stunt a reality and really deserve the recognition this accolade brings with it.”

Back on earth, the next PRCA Dare Award win proved Brazen PR can even create astronomical results without a big budget, as we also took home the Low Budget Campaign of the Year Award for our work with Chicago Town. Challenged to own National Pizza Day for the brand to coincide with a major product launch, we hand-delivered Chicago Town’s new Mac & Cheese pizzas to the LadBible head office, leading to 20 huge pieces of product coverage.
In the words of Brazen Client Services Director Peter Burling: “This campaign is living proof that big thinking doesn’t always have to mean big budgets. It’s a brilliant example of the power to turn a small-scale surprise and delight activity into giant results through well-timed, well-targeted and well-executed PR outreach. To have won this award alongside stunt of the year really just shows that bold and effective ideas are a part of our DNA here at Brazen.”

Last but definitely not least, Brazen’s fabulous founder Nina Webb was in for a well-deserved surprise, receiving the hugely prestigious Industry Leader of the Year Award. Having founded Brazen PR seven years ago this summer, Nina has driven the agency from strength to strength, growing it to the award-winning international powerhouse it has become today.
“It was such an honour to receive this award, and I really had no idea it was going to happen!” confessed Nina on the night. “I’ve always had big ambitious but it still feels surreal to realise how far Brazen has come since we first started out seventeen years ago. I wouldn’t take back any of the late nights or early mornings hustling to pull off daring campaigns over the years – it’s all led to this and I’m delighted to spend this moment with the brilliant team we’ve built at Brazen.”
Phew! What a night. Now let’s get cracking on our next award-winning PR campaign.
