This Is Manchester Awards 2019
As a Manchester-based PR agency, we are extremely proud of our home city, which has an abundance of fantastic restaurants, bars and hotels and a wealth of successful businesses, continuing to thrive every year.
We’re lucky enough to doing the PR and social media for This Is Manchester Awards, a unique multi-sector awards that showcases the very best our city has to offer. Brazen helped to launch the inaugural ceremony with a bang in 2018 and we’re looking forward to celebrating this year’s awards in November.
The awards aim to celebrate and champion the talented Mancunian businesses and individuals working hard to grow industry and culture in the city.
Last year’s event was attended by over 400 people, including industry experts and CEOs, charities, and VIPs including sports stars, celebrities and Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham.
Categories cover the best restaurants, bars, hotels and venues in Manchester, as well as showcasing emerging and established companies in the fashion, construction, digital innovation and events industries.
The ‘property / developer of the year’ category is new to 2019 and recognises some of the key players responsible for having a positive impact on the city’s skyline or neighbourhoods.
The awards also hero individuals such as Leading Chef and Individual Making a Difference in the Community, the shortlist of which includes the founders of Forever Manchester and Wythenshaw Community Housing Group.
Last year the Manchester Supernova Award was won by John Roberts, founder of AO.com and a true disrupter who built a business that has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading online retailers and employs over 3,000 people in the region. 
The Supernova Award aims to recognise an outstanding individual for their work in the city and the 2019 winner will be revealed at the awards in November.
