A day in the life of an Account Manager – Fly your dreams
It’s been a busy start to the year for sure and our Brazen team alongside our client Manchester Airport and its airline partner Hainan Airlines took flight this January (metaphorically of course) welcoming the Lunar New Year in authentic style to celebrate The Year of the Snake and showcase the most luxurious way to experience travel to China.
Hainan Airlines‘ inaugural direct flight from Manchester to Beijing in 2016 marked a landmark achievement, making Manchester the first UK city outside London to offer a direct link to mainland China, since then the city and the airport have shared a commitment to strengthening travel links between the North of England and China, as well as the rest of Asia.
The early morning 5:30am wakeup call was so worth it to experience this behind-the-scenes airport tour.
Accompanied by a mix of media and influencers, myself and my fellow aviation enthusiast Alice Lee, headed to the Airport for a ‘peek behind the curtain’ tour of a Hainan aircraft, with their talented team offering the full VIP Business Class experience, from showcasing welcome drinks and food service, right the way to the turndown for your nights rest. Plus a sneaky peek in the cockpit!
Hainan offer fantastic services in both its Business and Economy classes on its direct route from Manchester to Beijing and the team got to try it all in celebration of the Lunar New Year!
The tour continued with a walk through the newly refurbished Terminal 2, as part of Manchester Airport’s £1.3bn Transformation Programme, where everyone enjoyed breakfast at the lovely Evergreen, followed by a flying visit to World Duty Free to check out the latest bargains!
We almost didn’t want to get off that flight – and who could blame us! We could have flown away right there and then…if only!
But the fun didn’t stop there! After the morning’s airport excitement as our influencers and media headed home to get glam, we hot footed it over to the iconic and beautiful The Ivy Asia to prepare to host our gorgeous, intimate VIP dinner in the luxurious private dining Geisha Room.
Celebrating the shared commitment to strengthening travel links between the North of England and China & the rest of Asia, our special dinner experience boasted an evening full of unique Asian-inspired dishes in a luxurious, vibrant and theatrical setting.
Not only that, but there was also insightful speeches and presentations and fabulous entertainment.
Our aim was to not only celebrate Lunar New Year in traditional style but also commend the continued strong relationship between Hainan and Manchester Airport, showcasing the extensive offering to influencers, media and their followers, to encourage even more tourism to China.
There was a fabulous buzzing atmosphere radiating in the room from start to finish, the food was flowing all night long and it was an evening thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! We had so much fun with this one!
Two more successful aviation events completed ✅ – on to the next, the sky is the limit 🛫☁️ We can’t wait!
