BRAZEN LIVE OPENS ITS DOORS TO NEW TALENT

We’ve taken on our first apprentice for Brazen Live, our in-house video and digital content production studio.

Design student Niall Stott (18 years old from Royton) had a plan. Go to college, go to Uni, get a job. Little did he know that a two-week work placement at Brazen Live would quickly lead to the start of his career.

Niall first came to Brazen Live in March on a two-week work placement arranged through Oldham College, and he impressed the team so much he was invited to return for the summer. Now the PR & Content Marketing agency has taken him on in an official, long-term work-based learning role – the first Brazen has ever created.

His mentor, Sarah Hodgetts, creative producer of Brazen Live said: “Niall worked really hard over his summer holidays, and he’s seen the quality of his work go from strength to strength as a result. Brazen Live is a very busy studio where we handle all aspects of creative production for Brazen’s clients – from video and animation to digital and print design – so we can offer students a brilliant grounding in all aspects of content production.

“We offered Niall an apprenticeship so that he could continue to complete his education, but with the added advantage of gaining that all-important real world experience.”

Brazen Apprentice Niall Stott said: “I feel the opportunity is massive and I couldn’t be more thankful for those that made this a possibility. It’s a fantastic company with great clients, and a really fun working environment. The industry is very hard to get into and this apprenticeship has opened so many doors for me.”

Brazen CEO Nina Webb said: “We’ve had a dedicated graduate trainee programme in place for 16 years, but this is the first time we’ve taken on a college-age design apprentice. Nurturing young talent is incredibly important to us, and we want to help students of whatever age get on the career ladder and provide them with the best training ground possible. This is the first step in a long-term commitment to work-based learning.”

Niall will gain an NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Design from Oldham College at the end of his 18-24 month Brazen apprenticeship.
