Hails & Fails – July 4th 2025
4 July 2025
It’s been a crazy news week – we’ve had a crying Chancellor in Parliament and Diddy denied bail in the US. But, the story everyone is shouting about? OASIS. ARE. BACK.
Britain’s biggest Britpop legends are in full reunion mode, and the country’s losing its mind. Irish football team Bohemians dropped a new kit in collab with the Manchester icons, Aldi gave itself a cheeky regional remix to mark the gigs, and St David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff unveiled a bucket-hat-covered Wonderwall. Peak 90s chaos.
And of course, it wouldn’t be an Oasis comeback without Liam stoking trouble and kicking off online – this time over the Adidas collab that fans didn’t quite love as much as he’d hoped. Classic Gallagher gear: no filter, no apologies, no surrender.
So… what’s the story? The world’s watching, and Oasis are still stealing the show.

Don’t Look Back in Anger - Bohemians Drop Oasis-Inspired Jersey That Hits All the Right Notes
Bohemians have just dropped the most iconic football shirt of the year – a limited-edition FAI Cup jersey made in full-blown collab with Oasis. Think classic 90s swagger, bold blue chevrons, crisp white trims, and that legendary Oasis logo front and centre, oozing Manchester-meets-Dublin attitude.
And it’s not just a style statement – it’s doing good too. Half the profits go to the club, while the other half supports Music Generation Ireland (giving kids across the country access to music) and Irish Community Care Manchester. It’s football. It’s fashion. It’s philanthropy. And it’s absolutely rock ’n’ roll.

Aldi Rebrands Manc Style to Celebrate Oasis Comeback
Aldi’s gone full Manc to mark the return of the mighty Oasis – rebranding its Prestwich store to “Aldeh” in honour of the Gallagher brothers and that unmistakable local drawl. It’s the closest shop to Heaton Park, where Liam and Noel are reuniting for five sold-out gigs, so of course they had to do something proper legendary.
It’s been 16 years since the Rock en Seine bust-up that split the band – now they’re back, kicking off in Cardiff and wrapping things up in Brazil. Until then, “Aldeh” stands loud and proud in North Manchester, flying the flag for Britpop, banter and barmy brilliant branding.

Cardiff’s St David’s Unveils Giant Oasis Bucket Hat Wall
Cardiff’s St David’s shopping centre has gone full Britpop bonkers to celebrate the launch of the Oasis reunion tour – unveiling a giant ‘Wonder Wall’ made entirely from over 3,000 black and white bucket hats. Standing 20ft tall, the epic mural of Liam and Noel is the ultimate tribute to the brothers’ comeback, taking pride of place in the centre where fans can soak up the swagger before the band kicks off their world tour.
Created by Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn, the hat-heavy homage took four days to complete and is backed by a blast of Oasis bangers and a ‘Supersonic Spinner’ game for shoppers to get stuck into. Some might say it’s just a load of bucket hats – but this is definitely, maybe the most iconic mall moment of the year.

Liam Hits Back as Oasis x Adidas Collab Takes a Slating
Liam Gallagher’s had it right up to here with moaning fans slating Oasis’s new Adidas collab. What should’ve been a slam-dunk reunion merch drop – with retro tracksuits, bucket hats and a moody ‘Live Forever’ soundtrack – is now getting grief online. Some reckon the campaign’s a bit off-key. Liam? Not having any of it.
Taking to X (with classic Gallagher venom), he told critics to stop “crying your heart out” and branded them “soft” for whinging. “It’s for everyone,” he snapped, defending the merch as a love letter to old and new fans alike. Looks like the Oasis x Adidas dream team’s hit a bum note with some – but Liam’s not changing the tune anytime soon.
