In a week of political punch-ups and NATO name-drops, showbiz brought some sparkle – Katie Alexander ditched the TRIC red carpet and Emily Atack threw a celeb-packed birthday bash. Still, a handful of standout PR stunts cut through the chaos to steal the spotlight.
M&S served up a summer hit with strawberries and cream, NBC Universal wowed NYC with a jaw-dropping Jurassic drone show and Just Eat earned major love after a heroic courier went viral. But Amazon wasn’t so lucky, after Jeff Bezos’ lavish Venice wedding was hijacked by protestors.

M&S has dropped its first-ever dessert sandwich – and it’s a total summer serve.
Inspired by viral Japanese strawberry sandwiches, this limited-edition treat layers whipped cream cheese and juicy British strawberries (so big they’re borderline unmanageable) between soft, sweet bread.
With Wimbledon around the corner and a bumper strawberry season in full swing, this is strawberries and cream like you’ve never seen it before – no crusts, no rules, all vibes.
Dino-Mite! Jurassic Drone Show Stuns NYC Ahead of Jurassic World Rebirth Premiere
Dinosaurs took to the skies over NYC this weekend in a jaw-dropping drone show celebrating Jurassic World Rebirth (in cinemas July 2).
The epic light display lit up 30 Rock, with a giant Quetzalcoatlus soaring above NBC Universal HQ before morphing into the iconic T. rex logo.
All set to John Williams’ legendary Jurassic Park theme, the sky-high spectacle brought prehistoric power back to life – just in time to hype the next chapter in the blockbuster franchise. Ace!
Just Eat Driver Goes Viral for Pitch-Perfect Water Delivery to Stranded Commuters
Branded a “legend” online, the courier for the takeaway giant was filmed throwing bottles of water to 1,800 stranded train passengers stuck in sweltering heat during a major rail meltdown near Loughborough Junction.
As carriages lost power and air con, the delivery driver stood at trackside and perfectly pitched bottles through open train doors – serving serious lifesaver energy and earning Just Eat some unexpected brand love.
Greenpeace Italy and UK activist group Everyone Hates Elon dropped a giant 20×20m banner in Venice’s Piazza San Marco reading: “If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax” – just as Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos was gearing up for his ridiculously OTT nuptials in the city.
The stunt spotlighted billionaire privilege and tax injustice. “Bezos can shut down half a city to get married while public services go underfunded,” said Everyone Hates Elon.
The protest is the latest in a series of high-impact actions targeting wealth inequality and environmental hypocrisy. And it really wasn’t a good look for Jeff Bezos…
