We stormed onto the scene in 2001 – a time when girl groups and boy bands dominated the charts; social media wasn’t even a thing; and Manchester PR agencies thought the only way to make it was to be big, boring, and bland.
We chose a different path.
And while the world around us has changed – the girl groups have disbanded, the boy bands have abandoned their white suits and high stools, and life is now unimaginable without the likes of TikTok or Instagram – Brazen’s approach has stood the test of time.
From day one, we set out to be daring, different and relentlessly relevant.

Twenty-odd years and hundreds of awards later, we were named Best Agency Outside London by PRWeek … a huge compliment but one that left us with questions.
Like, should BBC Breakfast – which broadcasts from MediaCity in Salford – be a contender for the best TV breakfast show outside London or is it perhaps just the best in the UK?
And was Manchester City named ‘best football club outside London’ or did they win the (national) Premier League four years in a row from 2021 to 2024?
