It’s been a week of cliffhangers and curveballs – from the ‘are they or aren’t they?’ JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes soap opera to Chloe Ferry packing her bags (and bikinis) for a fresh start in Ibiza. And just like the showbiz drama, some PR campaigns have kept us just as gripped, with twists, turns and big reveals of their own.
Heineken relocated two Arsenal Fans’ Lucky Pub 2,200km for the Women’s Champions League Final, WHISKAS launched a kitten advice podcast hosted by cats and Aldi won praise from fans for outdoing McDonald’s. It was a week that the bigwigs at B&Q would rather forget though, after they were forced to apologise when they listed a bathroom cabinet that can be put together ‘even if you are a girl’.

Heineken Moves Heaven, Earth - and a North London Pub - for Superstitious Arsenal Fans
Heineken’s latest stunt raises a glass to football fans and their matchday rituals – no matter how weird or wonderful. For Arsenal diehards Amelie and Sophie, matchday means the same seats, same pints, same playlist, every single time at The Twelve Pins pub in Finsbury Park. So, when the team reached the Women’s Champions League final, Heineken did the unthinkable: it moved their entire lucky corner of the pub 2,200km to Lisbon.
Rebuilt down to the last barstool outside the stadium, the pop-up pub even came with a pint-pouring surprise – former Lioness Jill Scott.
WHISKAS Launches ‘Purrcast’ to Help a New Generation of Clueless-but-Caring Cat Parents
While new dog owners plan like parents-to-be, kitten adopters often wing it – assuming their tiny tiger will just figure it out. Enter WHISKAS with the Purrcast, a podcast hosted by cats (yes, really), designed to rescue Gen Z and Millennial pet parents from their “what now?” moments.
Packed with bite-sized advice, the global campaign meets new kitten owners on the platforms they scroll most – serving up tips in cat-speak to make early pet life a little less chaotic and a lot more cute. Purrfect!
Aldi Trolls McDonald’s with Free All-Day Hash Browns After 11am Cut-Off
If you’ve ever rocked up to McDonald’s at 11:01am and been cruelly denied your hash brown fix, Aldi feels your pain – and they’re doing something about it. The budget supermarket is sending out a cheeky food truck to park outside select McDonald’s branches, dishing out free Oakhurst hash browns after the breakfast cut-off.
Kicking off in London this week, the tour promises all-day hash brown glory, with stops planned across the UK. Aldi says theirs even beat Maccies in blind taste tests – and with fans calling them “perfect” and “just like McDonald’s,” this freebie stunt might just change the breakfast game.

B&Q Blasted for Sexist Cabinet Description
B&Q has issued an apology after a bathroom cabinet listing on its website claimed it was “easy to assemble – even if you’re a girl.”
The flatpack bamboo unit, sold by a third-party vendor, was swiftly pulled after shoppers called out the outdated and sexist language.
The DIY chain distanced itself from the blunder, blaming the wording on the seller and saying, “We apologise for any offence caused.”
The cabinet didn’t receive any reviews – just a rapid backlash.
