HAILS

Tang-tastic social media talent show

Ever wanted to enjoy the chilled delight of a Tango Ice Blast outside of the cinema? Well you’re in luck, as Tango is giving one away via a social media talent show. To enter, iced drink fanatics have to simply upload a video of their ‘talent’ to social media (either TikTok or Instagram) with the hashtag, #almostgottalent. Launching via a singer who looks suspiciously like Ed Sheeran, the competition has gained great social media engagement and consumer coverage aplenty, including Tyla.

Bonnets and breeches at the ready: Bridgerton, the exhibition is coming

Great news for streamers; Netflix is taking viewers into the worlds of hit shows including The Crown and Stranger Things with an immersive exhibition at the Design Museum. Details of the show format are currently as top secret as the identity of Lady Whistledown is to the rest of the Bridgerton Characters, but it’s expected to focus on storytelling and promises to offer visitors the chance to get closer than ever to their favourite shows. National press is already speculating what – and who – will be there.

A window on another world

A four tonne immersive portal popped up in London’s Trafalgar Square to transport the capital’s residents to somewhere even chillier than the UK… Antarctica. The portal was created by Greenpeace to highlight that the polar landscape is rapidly vanishing and featured a live broadcast to the continent. Cue what’s on and national coverage, as well as praise from marketing trade media.

FAILS

One is not amused

It’s off with their heads for discounter Wholesale Clearance which is selling royal merchandise for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with the celebratory event misspelled as ‘Jubbly’. These products feel more Del Boy than right royal, and we don’t expect the Queen to be dining off them any time soon…
