wilko wanted to drive awareness and engagement around its own-brand cleaning range via an immersive experience ; we developed the world’s first cleaning festival, House of Hacks. For social, we were specifically tasked with driving awareness ahead of the event and drive footfall and engagement on the day. In tandem with the PR and Influencer teams, we created a bespoke social media plan to maximise event activity.
Ahead of the event, we focused on a mix of reach and traffic driving social media posts, ensuring people knew about the event – and booked to come! On the day, we generated excitement on Owned social channels via live event coverage on Instagram Stories AND hosting wilko’s first ever Instagram Live, streaming cleaning tips and tricks alongside our influencer personality, Lynsey.
