Magnet celebrates Nigella’s micro-wavé and lands national coverage

The kitchen company, and Brazen client, reacted with lightspeed to Nigella Lawson’s hilarious pronunciation of the word microwave on her BBC show Cook, Eat, Repeat, this week by changing their website listing to micro-wavé – and won instant national media coverage. Nigella, bless her, laughed at the fuss and explained it’s just part of her sense of humour to ‘deliberately pronounce things wrong’ and even joked she says Worcester as ‘wusster-shusster’.

Christmas Cracker Jokes win smiles of coverage for TV Channel Gold

Moments of light relief have been few and far between this year but the ranking of topical Christmas cracker jokes by TV Channel Gold has provided some, with the top spot taken by one that has a punchline featuring a Chris Rea song and Dominic Cummings. Gold’s annual ranking, which is chosen by a panel chaired by the comedy critic Bruce Dessau, was put to 2,000 voters who chose: “What is Dominic Cummings’ favourite Christmas song? Driving Home for Christmas”, as the best cracker joke this year. Cue coverage everywhere!

Just when it seemed that fashion couldn’t get any more ridiculous, Moschino went the extra mile.
The luxury label caused shoppers to scratch their heads and mock them online for selling a clutch bag that looks, for all the world like a baguette – and costs a serious amount of dough…£758 to be precise! The bakery-inspired bag is made from leather with a three-dimensional baguette design embossed onto it. Oh dear!
