Make it happen As experts in promoting many of Manchester’s leading visitor attractions, destinations and venues – Brazen worked with Chill Factore in Manchester for over five years to help raise the profile of the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope, putting it on the map as a destination for skiing and snowboard lovers, thrill seekers and families alike.
Tasked with generating national and regional media coverage including all-important TV year-round, we’ve created many award-winning campaigns spanning PR, social media, events and content creation to help constantly drive brand awareness and footfall to the snow-themed venue.
Highlights include setting three Guinness World Records including the Longest Line of Skiers ever, creating a Dog Grotto at Christmas, rolling pumpkins down the slope for Halloween and launching ‘Avalanche’, the world’s first snow-sphering experience.
But one campaign stood out and warmed everyone’s hearts. Granting Sophia the St Bernard dog her dying wish….
What we did When Chill Factore received an email request from guest, Alyson Page, regarding Sophia, her six-year-old St Bernard dog, who was tragically dying from bone cancer, to bring her to the venue to play in the snow for one last time – Brazen quickly responded.
We invited Alyson and Sophia to come to the ski slope the very next day – just hours before Sophie was to be put to sleep. Sophia nuzzled her head in the snow, tail wagging, and played with her half brother Milo, a five-year-old St. Bernard, at the bottom of the slope.
Brazen carefully coordinated the National and Regional media to respectfully capture the emotional last moments of Sophia as she took her final roll in the snow.
